Proclaiming the Name Ministries exists for
the sole purpose of proclaiming the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our commission is to go, teach, baptize,
and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). We strive
to implement those four elements into the churches which God calls us to serve.
Nathan Davis has been a Christian public servant for 15 years.
The Lord called him into the ministry when he was 17 years old. He has served in various roles, from Youth Minister
to Associate Pastor to Interim Pastor to Senior Pastor, in five different churches. He has also spoken in
numerous chapel services, conferences, camps, and revival services. Also, he has studied abroad in Greece and Oxford,
England. He is currently the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church, Coushatta, Louisiana. Nathan received his Master of Divinity
degree with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to graduating from SWBTS, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian
Ministry from East Texas Baptist University. He has completed his course study for his Doctor of
Ministry degree in Expository Preaching and is currently working on his dissertation. In December 2002, he
married his wife, Melanie, also a graduate of East Texas Baptist University. He and his wife Melanie are the proud parents
of their baby boy Reagan and their baby girl McKinley.
Melanie Davis has been a supportive pastor's wife since her marriage
to Nathan in December 2002. She has taught high school business and sells Pampered Chef kitchen products.
She is very active in the ministry of the church, from serving as Vacation Bible School Director to playing the piano to helping
in whatever area has need. She also enjoys playing the flute, singing, and scrapbooking. In May 2000, she graduated
from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and, in May 2005, received her teacher
certification through LeTourneau University.
